!!SOLD!! 288-P102.
M1911 Pistol, Colt, s/n 138440 (Feb. 1917). According
to Clawson’s “big book.” This pistol was shipped from Colt to
the Commanding Officer, San Antonio Arsenal in San Antonio, Texas on February 7, 1917 as part of a shipment of 650 pistols. It is
completely original and in very good condition. The original blued finish is in
very good condition with wear only on the front strap, main spring housing, and
edges of the slide. The original P H marked barrel has a bore that is just
short of bright and shiny with some speckling in the throat area. The diamond
checkered walnut grips are in very good condition. Sale includes one two-tone lanyard loop magazine. This
is a very nice looking early 1917 production Colt Model 1911 that I would not
hesitate to put in my own collection. - $2,695
